A First Date is Never Easy

Four years ago, in April, when flowers started to bloom making romantic atmosphere, my first date was a very embarrassing but an unforgettable memory. First, my boyfriend and I decided to meet at COEX, watch a movie and have some dinner in the multiplex. When we arrived to the theater in COEX, there was a film poster hanging on the walls which had two handsome men with a beautiful landscape on the background. The title was "Brokeback Mountain." On the bottom, there was a phrase that said it had received many awards. Both of us did not hesitate a moment and bought two tickets. As we entered the gate, I was very thrilled and nervous since it was my first date. I was worried about everything. I was asking myself how I should sit or where I should place my hands. However, thanks to my boyfriend, he held my hands tightly during the movie, until we found out it was a gay movie. Watching a gay movie was not that bad, but when the sex scenes, with two men, started to pop out, I could feel a very uncomfortable atmosphere between us. Even though I had cold sweat on my back, I could feel my face burning. Very normally, we turned ourselves with our backs facing each other. After three hours of this troubled situation, we were not in the right mood to have dinner, so we agreed to meet on another day and went to the station. As soon as I got on the subway, he called me and had a chat for at least an hour. It was more fun and easier to talk on a phone rather than face to face. Since I was paying too much attention to our conversation, I did not realize that the subway was going in the opposite direction. At the last station I found out that I was on the wrong line. This day was an unforgettable day not only because it was my first date, but also because it was a tough day, both mentally and physically.

Unconditional Love from Pets

Besides parents or relatives, pets are creatures that give unconditional love to their owners. Pets are one of the best companions that a human could ever have. First of all, pets are perfect friends to tell all of your stories since they cannot speak. Unlike human, they do not cut in while others are talking nor do they ignore you. Pets are willing to pay attention to any story, no matter how ridiculous it is. Recently, there has been a research that children who raise pets have high language ability compared to others. Also, pets help people to be more active. Taking a walk, grooming and feeding require a lot of energy and make owners to get exercise whether they like it or not. Above all, pets have positive influence on human mental health. Pets reduce loneliness and isolation because they accept their owners for who they are and never judge them. Whenever people see their dog wagging its tail to greet them, it would not be that hard to ease depression. On the other hand, there might be some people who worry about the cost of raising pets. However, in a long-term view, having a pet as a companion is more efficient than thought. For example, when people use drugs to treat mental disorder, most of them quit the medication course because of the side effects. Through this process, money and time are wasted with no recovery. Pets, however, do not bring such consequence and even prevent other types of mental disorders in advance. Pets are friends who listen to you endlessly, best partners that will run right beside you, and supporters that will always be there to welcome you.

-What I like about this piece of writing is the hilarious happening with your boyfriend.
-Your main point seems to be that your first date turned out to be a bit embarassing
-These particular words struck me as powerful:
"I was asking myself how I should sit or where I should place my hands." It touched me because that's how I felt on my first date too.
-This part could be improved: "Very normally, we turned ourselves with our backs facing each other." I don't quite understand what "very normally" means in here.
-The one change you could make that would make the biggest improvement is it would be nice if you used emotional description a little bit more. But except that, it was absolutely fun to read!

-What I like about this piece of writing is,
makes me feel warm in how you describe the pets.
-Your main point seems to be that pets have good influence, not only to mankind but also to eachother.
-These particular words struck me as powerful:
"they do not cut in while others are talking nor do they ignore you" It really touched me because it reminded me of my own pet. I always talk to her and she always listens.
-This part could be improved: "Above all, pets have positive influence on human mental health."
In what way? describe some more please.
-The one change you could make that would make the biggest improvement is: I don't know, your writing is kind of hard to find something to pick on..

Even though it happened for a few years ago.. it still looks alive because of your narration with details. Also, the content is funny and I think people can share your story because most people have smiliar memories about their cute and nervous first dates.

I like you wrote details for example, where it happened, the name of the movie, and the atmostphere..

I think you can describe morea about why you felt so awkward when the love scenes were on the screen. Or you can say what your boyfriend talked about the movie later.

Also, your last sentence can be more interesting.. you said you were tired mentally and physically.. I think it sounds awkward.
