Dutch Mona Lisa

In Vermeer's portrait, called the 'Dutch Mona Lisa', the girl is wearing big, shiny pearl earring. The girl with a pearl earring stares at me with her calm, gentle eyes. Her head is wrapped with a piece of yellow and blue clothes. Her eyes are widening as if she is daydreaming. Her parted lips remain open as if she is about to say something. She, however, keeps her silence. There is no word coming from her mouth. She is standing still. Her brown clothes match with the dim, dark background. The only thing that reflects light in the painting is the pearl earring. Right next to her cheek, it's there, dangling from her left ear. The twinkling earring shone her face with glow. Her expression is unreadable, though her charm lies on her gaze, subtle but somehow seducible. Her beauty is complete with her fine jewelry.
